Peach Seed , 桃仁 (táo rén)

Peach Seed , 桃仁 (táo rén), Persicae Semen. (1 pound).  The fruit is collected when ripe. The seed is removed from sarcocarp and shell (endocarp), and dried in the sun before use. The seed can also be ground into powder. Overdose can cause herb poisoning. Depending on the mode of administration, amygdalin can be either harmless or poisonous - its toxicity level is at the highest when taken oraly.
